Children's Guide

The Voices of Sandwell and Forum for Independent Young Adults have helped develop a Children's Guide designed for children who first come into care of the local authority as well as children who are already in our care. The guides contain information for children in care on their rights and what they need to know and be aware of whilst in care. Practitioners from Health, the Virtual School, Independent Reviewing Officers, and Social Workers were asked for their input and we also considered national best practice, to ensure Sandwell Council is fulfilling their responsibility as a corporate parent.
